Many Victorian schools use Google tools for teaching.

This webinar goes beyond the basics of Google’s tools to explore the lesser known additional tools, add-ons and Chrome apps and extensions. Join Kimberley and Chris as they explore the world, streamline your productivity and expose you to provocations to ignite inquiry in your classroom.

During remote learning, it can be challenging to offer quality feedback to students that is both scalable and effective. After identifying that many primary students found video feedback was more personal and beneficial, teacher Paul Connelly started using Microsoft 365's Power Automate (formerly called Flow) to automate many of the repetitive tasks involved in giving individual feedback.

In this workshop, Paul will teach you how you can do this too and, in the process, inspire you to consider many ways you can use Power Automate to help you reduce other repetitive tasks in your work flows.

    About the presenters

Standing at the intersection of leadership, education and digital leadership, Paul Connelly has worked across four private schools in Melbourne and Adelaide, where he served as a committee member of EdTechSA.

This year, he stepped into the role of the Head of Learning and Teaching (Primary) at Plenty Valley Christian College. Having presented at many state and national conferences, Paul enjoys getting alongside fellow educators and helping them to grow in their love of teaching and effective use of digital technologies.

In this webinar, we'll hear from the founder of Quitch, a gamified mobile learning platform, as well as the director of the Knox Innovation Opportunity and Sustainability Centre (KIOSC).

KIOSC partnered with Quitch to provide an interesting revision method during COVID19 time. This turned out to be a great way to assist the schools and students to stay focused on their studies while having some fun through achievement and motivation to learn and play.

The session will describe the journey so far and steps taken to support this learning activity, including supporting school teachers and local school students.

Quitch (a DLTV industry partner) is a content neutral gamified mobile learning platform. It was designed to motivate and connect with students outside of the classroom and is played in their own time, at their own pace. It allows students to improve their knowledge base and track their progress over time.

    Agenda

    • Play with Quitch - attendees can participate by answering questions and looking at the leader board
    • Why is it important to make learning fun?
    • What is Quitch?
