From the desk of DLTV President Ben Gallagher
Today I’d like to focus on some of the amazing volunteers and supporters of DLTV. These are the people who tirelessly make things happen behind the scenes.
I’d like to especially thank our committee members who volunteer their time to help make DLTV a meaningful and very worthwhile organisation.
Many also volunteer on our sub-committees.
Currently our DigiCon conference sub-committee are meeting weekly to organise the program etc and its looking like it will be an amazing event.
Pricing and booking will be available very soon, so keep an eye on our website, social media posts and of course our newsletters. Don’t forget for one price you’ll be able to attend as much or as little as you like whether that’s an individual or a whole school. Or you might like to consider presenting.
Another sub-committee which has been going the extra yards are our journal committee. Capably led by a long-standing supporter of DLTV, who many of you may know, Roland Gesthuizen. All being well they hope to have the next one to you in December or at the latest early next year.
At DLTV there are many other volunteers that make things function, like our finance sub- committee or people like our fabulous Patron Paula Christophersen, who is always on hand to give support or offer advice.
I’d also like to thank all the volunteers who have been helping with materials for some of our ongoing projects, whether that’s been creating content, presenting at a webinar or being part of an interview panel.
It very hard to believe that the school year will shortly end. I imagine like many of you I’m finalising assessments and writing reports as well as the hundred other things as teachers we have to do.
