DLTV are happy to collaborate with Celia Coffa, Victorian Project Officer for the University of Adelaide, Digital Technologies Project (CSER) to present a free workshop day to begin to unpack the Digital Technologies Curriculum.

Join us to learn how the Digital Technology curriculum can be integrated into your classroom practice, explore plugged and unplugged activities that expose the key concepts and thinking styles. Learn how to get further help from an online course and community designed to share resources and support.

Outcomes:

  • Develop understanding of the fundamental concepts of the Digital Technologies curriculum
  • Experience a range of Digital Technologies activities that relate to familiar classroom activities
  • Know where to find resources and support to help with planning and implementation
  • Register for Online Course (CSER MOOC’s) https://csermoocs.adelaide.edu.au/moocs/

Agenda:

  • Discuss the Digital Technologies Curriculum - rationale, content and context
  • Explore one concept (eg. algorithms) including practical classroom ideas
  • Introduce CSER Online Course (MOOC) and other online resources for teachers
  • Sign up to Online Course and join Google+ community and complete a unit or two together
  • Explore a range of robotic tools
