Event details
In this webinar, we'll hear from the founder of Quitch, a gamified mobile learning platform, as well as the director of the Knox Innovation Opportunity and Sustainability Centre (KIOSC).
This is a great example of how an experienced educator saw a shortfall in student’s engagement, created a relevant phone-based solution and then used this to enhance other learning environments. A thought-provoking story and there are some great takeaways here for all educators.
Quitch (a DLTV industry partner) is a content neutral gamified mobile learning platform. It was designed to motivate and connect with students outside of the classroom and is played in their own time, at their own pace. It allows students to improve their knowledge base and track their progress over time.
KIOSC partnered with Quitch to provide an interesting revision method during COVID19 restrictions. This turned out to be a great way to assist the schools and students to stay focused on their studies while having some fun through achievement and motivation to learn and play. There are many lessons which can be gleaned from this partnership and applied to your setting.
The webinar will describe the journey so far and steps taken to support this learning activity, including supporting school teachers and local school students.
